Farrakhan is a longtime friend of Jeremiah Wright. Farrakhan is also a longtime friend and ideological comrade of Michael Pfleger, who serves as pastor of Chicago’s Saint Sabina Catholic Church and has been described by Barack Obama as a spriritual advisor.
Rev. Jeremiah Wright – was the pastor of Chicago’s Trinity United Church of Christ (TUCC) from March 1972 until February 2008. For the last twenty of those years, he was the pastor and spiritual mentor of TUCC’s most famous congregant, Barack Obama. Obama and his wife selected Rev. Wright to perform their 1992 wedding ceremony and, later, to baptize their two daughters. Obama sought Wright’s counsel before formally declaring his candidacy for U.S. President in 2007. On December 4, 2007, Wright was named as a member of the Obama campaign’s African American Religious Leadership Committee. Other notable members of the Committee included Rev. Joseph E. Lowery and Rev. Otis Moss III. Wright would step down from this Committee in March 2008, after videotapes of his controversial sermons had repeatedly ignited fierce public debate and criticism.
Wright embraces the tenets of black liberation theology, which seeks to foment Marxist revolutionary fervor founded on racial rather than class solidarity. Wright is also a strong supporter of Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan.
Rev. James Meeks – Since 2002, Rev. James T. Meeks has been a Democratic member of the Illinois state senate, where he served alongside Barack Obama from 2002-2004 (prior to Obama’s election to the U.S. Senate). Meeks is also the pastor of Chicago’s 22,000-member Salem Baptist Church, and he formerly served as an executive vice president for Jesse Jackson’s Rainbow/PUSH coalition.
Meeks is a longtime political ally of Barack Obama, who in 2003 and 2004 frequently campaigned at Salem Baptist Church during his run for the U.S. Senate. Barely 24 hours after Obama had won the 2004 Democratic primary for U.S. Senate, he attended a bible study meeting at Meeks’ church “for prayer” and “to say thank you.” In a 2004 interview with the Chicago Sun-Times, Obama described Meeks as an adviser to whom he looked for “spiritual counsel.”
In 2007 Meeks served on Obama’s exploratory committee for the presidency. According to a Chicago Sun Times report, Meeks, like Obama, has been the recipient of large campaign contributions from indicted real estate developer Tony Rezko.
Rev. Michael Pfleger – Michael Louis Pfleger is a Roman Catholic priest who has been the pastor of Saint Sabina Catholic Church in Chicago since 1981. Pfleger is white, and his congregation is composed mostly of African Americans. Pfleger views America as a nation infested with “classism and racism,” and he identifies white racism as “the number one sin in this country.”
On May 25, 2008, Pfleger gave a sermon at Trinity United Church of Christ, then the church of Presidential candidate Barack Obama, where he mocked Senator Hillary Clinton, Obama’s opponent for the Democratic Party nomination. Pfleger said, “I really believe that she just always thought, “This is mine. I’m Bill’s wife. I’m white, and this is mine. I just gotta get up and step into the plate.” Then out of nowhere came, “Hey, I’m Barack Obama,” and she said, “Oh, ****! Where did you come from? I’m white! I’m entitled! There’s a black man stealing my show!’” He then pretended to wipe tears from his face, a reference to Senator Clinton’s emotional speech before the New Hampshire primary, and added, “She wasn’t the only one crying. There was a whole lot of white people crying.”
Pfleger is a great admirer of Louis Farrakhan. Pfleger has had a longstanding friendly relationship (since the late 1980s) with Barack Obama and has played a significant role as a spiritual advisor for the latter. Between 1995 and 2001, Pfleger contributed a total of $1,500 to Obama’s various political campaigns “including a $200 donation in April 2001, approximately three months after Obama (who was then an Illinois State Senator) had announced $225,000 in grants to St. Sabina programs. After Obama’s 2004 election to the U.S. Senate, he would earmark an additional $100,000 in federal tax money for Pfleger’s work.
Rev. Joseph Lowery – A prominent [leftist] figure in the Southern Christian Leadership Conference, Rev. Joseph Lowery is a member of the Obama campaign’s African American Religious Leadership Committee. Viewing the United States as a nation that is “not committed to serious efforts to address the issue of racism,” he once warned that “white racism is gaining respectability again,” and that “there’s a resurgence of racism ”at almost every level of life.”
Lowery has contempt for Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, specifically because the black conservative Thomas opposes the use of affirmative action (i.e., race preferences) in business and academia. Says Lowery: “I have told [Thomas] I am ashamed of him, because he is becoming to the black community what Benedict Arnold was to the nation he deserted; and what Judas Iscariot was to Jesus: a traitor; and what Brutus was to Caesar: an assassin.”
David Axelrod - is a top-level strategist and media advisor for Barack Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign. Axelrod sits on the finance board of Chicago’s St. Sabina Catholic church, where longtime Obama supporter Michael Pfleger serves as pastor.
Saul Alinsky - Marxist radical Community Organizer and agitator. Obama (and Hillary) subscribed to the Alinsky methods….For several years Obama himself taught workshops on the Alinsky method.
ACORN - ACORN is a grassroots political organization…. In the 2004 and 2006 election cycles, ACORN and its sister group Project Vote ran nationwide voter mobilization drives that were marred by allegations of fraudulent voter registration, vote-rigging, voter intimidation, and vote-for-pay scams.
Beginning in the mid-1980s, Obama worked with ACORN and Project Vote. ACORN later invited Obama to help train its staff. Moreover, Obama eventually would sit on the Board of the Woods Fund of Chicago, which gave a number of sizable grants to ACORN.
In the 2004 and 2006 election cycles, Project Vote and ACORN ran nationwide voter mobilization drives that were marred by allegations of fraudulent voter registration, vote-rigging, voter intimidation, and vote-for-pay scams. Their canvassers were caught or accused of filing registrations in duplicate, filing them for deceased or imaginary people or, in some cases, destroying large numbers of Republican registrations.
From April to November of 1992, Obama served as the Director of “Illinois Project VOTE,” which registered approximately 150,000 mostly poor, mostly Democratic voters in Chicago’s Cook County before that year’s presidential election.
Cornel West – Cornel West is a Professor of Religion and African American Studies at Princeton University. In 2008 Barack Obama named Professor West to his presidential campaign’s Black Advisory Council. A longtime member of the Democratic Socialists of America, West is a Marxist and a great admirer of Obama’s former pastor, Rev. Jeremiah Wright.
Rashid Khalidi – Rashid Khalidi is the Edward Said Professor of Arab Studies at Columbia University. He once served as Director of the Palestinian press agency, Wikalat al-Anba al-Filastinija and strongly identified with the aims of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), designated a terrorist organization by the State Department during Khalidi’s affiliation with the Yasser Arafat-run political entity, …. Khalidi hosted a fundraiser for Obama’s first (unsuccessful) Congressional campaign in 2000.
In Chicago in 1995, Mr. Khalidi and his wife Mona founded the Arab American Action Network (AAAN), a group associated with confrontational statements of support for Palestinians and antagonism toward Israel. In 2001 and again in 2002, the Woods Fund of Chicago, with directors [Bill] Ayers and Obama, made grants of $40,000 and $35,000 to the AAAN.
Mohamed Salim Al-Churbaji – Born in the U.S. in 1987, Mohamed Salim Al-Churbaji is a University of Michigan student who currently (as of June 2008) serves as a fundraiser and organizer for Barack Obama’s presidential campaign.
His father, Mohammed Al-Churbaji, is a Syrian national … member of the Muslim Brotherhood with close ties to such notables as: a terrorist named Abu Amatallah; a leading mujahideen fighter named Abu Rawdha; another mujahideen warrior, Bassam Ahmad, who fought for Osama Bin Laden and his mentor, Sheikh Abdullah Azzam; and Rabih Haddad, who co-founded the Global Relief Foundation.
Robert Malley – A Harvard-trained lawyer and Rhodes Scholar, Robert Malley is the Middle East and North Africa Program Director for the International Crisis Group (ICG), which receives funding from the Open Society Institute (whose founder, Obama supporter George Soros, serves on the ICG Board and Executive Committee).
In 2007 Malley became a foreign policy advisor to presidential candidate Barack Obama. In 2008, however, the Obama campaign severed its ties with Malley after the latter told the Times of London that he [Malley] had been in regular contact with Hamas as part of his work for ICG.
Frank Marshall Davis – black poet and writer (he wrote for the Honolulu Record, a Communist newspaper), and a known member of the Soviet-controlled Communist Party USA (CPUSA).
[He was] Obama’s mentor and advisor, as admitted to in his book “Dreams From My Father”.
Rev. Jim Wallis - A self-described activist preacher and the founder of the publication Sojourners, Jim Wallis has long championed the cause of communism. On June 28, 2006, Barack Obama spoke at a Sojourners-sponsored Call to Renewal Conference, where he identified Jim Wallis as “my friend.”
Joyce Wheeler – Based in Baltimore, Maryland, Joyce Wheeler is a retired schoolteacher and a longtime Communist Party activist. In 2008 Joyce Wheeler became a prominent figure in Barack Obama’s presidential campaign, helping to organize local canvassing and visibility events for the candidate.
Tim Wheeler – Tim Wheeler is a National Board member of the Communist Party USA (CPUSA). In 2008 Wheeler became a prominent figure in Barack Obama’s presidential campaign. He helped organize local canvassing and visibility events for the candidate, and he chronicled his experiences on the campaign trail in a blog that appeared on the Obama campaign website.
Carl Davidson - is an American Marxist who serves as a national steering committee member of United for Peace and Justice, an organization chaired by the pro-Castro socialist Leslie Cagan.
Davidson quickly became one of Obama’s most ardent supporters. He helped organize a large 2002 rally where Obama first established himself as an eloquent anti-war spokesman.
Democratic Socialists of America - Describing itself as “the principal U.S. affiliate of the Socialist International,” the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) is the largest socialist organization in the United States.
Obama’s socialist backing goes back at least to 1996, when he received the endorsement of the Chicago branch of the Democratic Socialists of America for an Illinois state senate seat.
New Party – Co-founded in 1992, the New Party was a Marxist political coalition whose objective was to endorse and elect leftist public officials — most often Democrats. The New Party’s short-term objective was to move the Democratic Party leftward, thereby setting the stage for the eventual rise of new Marxist third party - In 1995 Barack Obama sought the New Party’s endorsement for his 1996 state senate run. Socialist Scholars Conference – SSC events featured the elite of socialist academia as well as union activists, political revolutionaries, reformers, and opponents of “corporate greed.” According to the libertarian writer Trevor Loudon, guest speakers at these conferences included “members of the Communist Party USA and its offshoot, the Committees of Correspondence, as well as Maoists, Trotsyists, black radicals, gay activists and radical feminists.”
In his 1995 autobiography, “Dreams From My Father”, Obama reveals that during his student years at New York’s Columbia University he “went to socialist conferences at Cooper Union and African cultural fairs in Brooklyn.”

The McCain/Palin camp announced today that Governor Palin’s daughter Bristol is five months pregnant. Bristol and her husband-to-be will be married and keep the baby. Great! This is the Biblical way to solve a difficult problem.
Governor Palin, as a good Christian mother, says she loves her daughter just the same. This is a great Christian attitude. It is a shame that some kids don’t learn until it becomes the “hard way,” but Bristol is to be commended that she chose not to go the “Obama way” and abort the baby. Bristol chooses life, the Biblical way!
Obama is to be commended for issuing a statement that this situation is not a campaign issue and should not be discussed. — Officially, that is his position.
Of course this will not prevent his Looney Left, Soros funded and fueled comrades from smearing the McCain/Palin ticket as they so eagerly have done and will do.
It is probably with good reason he would squelch the story officially, since Obama is the result of a union between unmarried parents — with a father who was reportedly the husband of several wives. He hopes his statement will stem the tide of revelations about his and his parent’s past.
We salute the Palins for living the faith they profess.

I find it interesting that Obama finally decided to follow the McCain/Palin lead and cease campaigning today. McCain the Leader and Obama the follower.
Likewise Obamessiah decided to try using his “millions” of email contacts to raise funds for the distressed in Louisiana. That is good, but again Obama is a good follower. His handler’s decision came only after McCain/Palin decided to turn their Convention into a fundraising effort to benefit the the hurricane victims in Louisiana.
We’;ll continue to pray for the refugees in Lousiana — especially that those Christians on rescue missions to that area will be concerned for the eternal souls of those to whom they minister.
What an opportunity for believers in Christ to share their faith!

Christians have reason to be somewhat relieved about our future freedoms.
Governor Sarah Palin of Alaska, the Republican nominee for Vice President is an unabashed Christian, devoted mother, hunter, fisher, sports enthusiast, etc.
Every human being is short of God’s perfection and needs the Savior Jesus Christ. Therefore no Vice Presidential candidate is going to be the perfect choice, but Conservative Christians may find it easier to make a decision when time comes to vote on November 4th.

This post, among others appearing on this Blog, point out philosophy and positions adopted by candidates that should be considered by any Christian as they decide to vote.

I think most of us know what Barack’s stand is on abortion. If you know me well, you know that this is an important issue for me.
Sometimes people get upset and say I should look at the big picture and not place so much emphasis on one issue. I agree wholeheartedly that we should look at the big picture. I just think a person’s stand on abortion is an issue that is foundational to a lot of other issues.
If a candidate doesn’t believe that EVERYONE has a right to live, it doesn’t really matter to that aborted individual what the candidate’s position is regarding social injustice, national security, education, healthcare, the environment, the war, taxes, etc…. That little person won’t be around to benefit from, or suffer because of, the changes the candidate promotes.
If there was a candidate who supported absolutely everything that I feel strongly about BUT felt African Americans did not deserve to have the rights that the rest of us are guaranteed, I couldn’t vote for them. There are some issues that trump everything.
I would ask that you think about this again before you throw your support behind a person who will not defend the right to LIFE of every single, God-created person. Scripture teaches us that no one is an accident. Not even those created by rape or incest.
Margaret Sanger,who started Planned Parenthood, was a eugenicist. She believed that some races were “human weeds” and thought abortion could help rid our society of those whom she considered inferior. Obama, who has courted the radical abortion rights voters has supported late term abortions and has even gone so far as to agree that infanticide is a viable option.
All of us have the God-given responsibility to protect the weak and poor, that is why I agree, in theory if not in policy, with some of the ideas of the democrat party. But let’s be consistent and protect the MOST defenseless. When one person can decide if another helpless person should live or die, it concerns me that the next step down this slippery slope is deciding that the old, sick, deformed or retarded should be put out of their misery and not be a drain on society since they are not as productive as someone else.
I unequivocally agree that we need change. Our government has failed in some areas. But some change isn’t for the better. I need to be able to trust the President with my life. I don’t think any of us can trust Obama to ultimately and unreservedly protect us.

“The Declaration of Independence… [is the] declaratory charter of our rights, and the rights of man.” —Thomas Jefferson
If our nation’s Founders could visit us on this, our 232nd Independence Day, what would they make of us? What would they declare of us?
A hint can be discerned in a letter from John Adams to his wife, Abigail, on July 3, 1776, as the Declaration of Independence had just been approved. “It ought to be commemorated,” said the man who would become our second president, “as the Day of Deliverance by solemn Acts of Devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with Pomp and Parade, with Shews, Games, Sports, guns, Bells, Bonfires and Illuminations from one End of this Continent to the other from this Time forward forever more. You will think me transported with Enthusiasm but I am not. I am well aware of the Toil and Blood and Treasure, that it will cost Us to maintain this Declaration, and support and defend these States. Yet through all the Gloom I can see the Rays of ravishing Light and Glory. I can see that the End is more than worth all the Means. And that Posterity will tryumph in that Day’s Transaction, even altho We should rue it, which I trust in God We shall not.”
Americans have maintained the “Pomp and Parade” for more than two centuries now, and the “Bonfires and Illuminations” are commonplace, but how often do we recognize Independence Day as “the Day of Deliverance?” How often do we honor it with “solemn Acts of Devotion to God Almighty”? How often do we contemplate the cost of our freedom, “the Toil and Blood and Treasure?”

Remembering Our Foundations

As America remembers those who have offered the ultimate sacrifice for all of us, we would do well to remind ourselves of the truths upon which our nation was founded-truths for which millions of Americans have suffered or died. No enemy has been more vicious in undermining these truths, our foundations, than runaway Humanist/Reconstructionist judges, made safe from harm in their cozy courtrooms by our troops fighting for the very truths Reconstructionists oppose. Here is a brief summary of three such truths as expressed by some of America’s Founders and other leaders.
1. A just and free society requires a Christian foundation.
“I verily believe that Christianity is necessary to support a civil society and shall ever attend to its institutions and acknowledge its precepts as the pure and natural sources of private and social happiness.” — Joseph Story (U. S. Supreme Court Justice and Harvard Law Professor)
“I . . . recommend a general and public return of praise and thanksgiving to Him from whose goodness these blessings descend. The most effectual means of securing the continuance of our civil and religious liberties is always to remember with reverence and gratitude the source from which they flow.” — John Jay (America’s first Chief Justice)
“We have staked the whole future of American civilization, not upon the power of government, far from it. We have staked the future of all our political institutions upon the ability of mankind for self-government; upon the capacity to each and all of us to govern ourselves, to control ourselves, to sustain ourselves according to THE TEN COMMANDMENTS OF GOD.” — James Madison
“Only a virtuous people are capable of freedom. As nations become corrupt and vicious, they have more need of masters.” — Benjamin Franklin
2. The U. S. Constitution is based upon a Christian foundation.
“The religion which has introduced civil liberty is the religion of Christ and his apostles, which enjoins humility, piety, and benevolence; which acknowledges in every person a brother or a sister, and a citizen with equal rights. This is genuine Christianity, and to this we owe our free constitutions of government.” — Noah Webster
“The general principles on which the fathers achieved independence were…the general principles of Christianity . . . . Now I will avow that I then believed and now believe that those general principles of Christianity are as eternal and immutable as the existence and attributes of God.” — John Adams
“America was born a Christian nation for the purpose of exemplifying to the nations of the world the principles of righteousness found in the Word of God.” — Woodrow Wilson
“The more profoundly we student his wonderful Book [the Bible], the better citizens we will become, and the higher will be our destiny as a nation.” — William McKinley
3. The Constitution and its Christian foundations require a
limited government, including a restrained judiciary.
“Since the general civilization of mankind, I believe there are more instances of the abridgement of the freedom of the people by gradual and silent encroachment of those in power than by violent and sudden usurpations.” — James Madison in the Virginia Ratifying Convention, 1788
“The Constitution is a written instrument. As such its meaning does not alter. That which it meant when adopted it means now . . . ‘Any other rule of construction would abrogate the judicial character of this court, and make it the mere reflex of the popular opinion or passion of the day.’” — U.S. Supreme Court in South Carolina v. U.S., 1905
“A frequent recurrence to the fundamental principles of the constitution . . . [is] absolutely necessary to preserve the advantages of liberty, and to maintain a free government. . . . The people . . . have a right to require of their lawgivers and magistrates, an exact and constant observance of them.” — Massachusetts Constitution, 1780
“Liberty is secured, sir, by the limitation of its [the government's] powers, which are clearly and unequivocally defined.” — Francis Corbin in the Virginia Ratification Convention, 1788
Conclusion
These truths clearly and conclusively refute contemporary Reconstructionist judges’ loud and impassioned proclamations that we must “separate church and state” and that we “cannot legislate morality.” The conclusion of the matter was well stated in the mid-Twentieth Century by a high-ranking British official, Alfred Lord Denning. Describing the plight of contemporary law in both England and America, Denning declared:
What does it all come to? Surely this, that if we seek truth and justice, we cannot find it by argument and debate, nor by reading and thinking, but only by the maintenance of true religion and virtue. Religion concerns the spirit in man whereby he is able to recognize what is truth and what is justice, whereas law is only the application, however imperfectly, of truth and justice in our everyday affairs. If religion perishes in the land, truth and justice will also. We have already strayed too far from the faith of our fathers. Let us return to it, for it is the only thing that can save us. (emphasis added)

It was announced today that the Liberal Lion of the Kennedy clan, Senator Edward (Teddy) Kennedy, is suffering from a glioma (malignant brain tumor).
My Sweet Wife’s first husband Richard suffered from a similar ailment, glioblastoma multiforme.
Because Richard had trusted Christ alone as his Savior. He was absolutely guaranteed of going to Heaven as the result of that decision. He, like his Dad before him, chose not to undergo the rigors of surgery or radiation treatment but opted for palliative care only. Today, Richard is resting in the presence of his Savior, Jesus Christ!
We have no way of knowing how long Kennedy will live — but we can pray one prayer for him and his family.
We pray that some way, someone who is a solid Bible believing, born again Christian can break though the dark, golden and foreboding curtain of Roman Catholicism to present the simple message of salvation to Kennedy and his family — before it is too late. Because when one dies without trusting Christ alone as Savior, it is TOO LATE. There is no second chance to believe after death.
Jesus Christ was crucified, died, was buried and rose from the grave for the sins of Teddy Kennedy, just as He did for you, me and the whole world. However it avails nothing for Kennedy or any of us until we make that simple decision to trust Jesus alone as our Savior. (Not the church, not our good works, not Mary, not the Pope nor a priest of any religion, Catholic or otherwise). ONLY Jesus alone!
Let us pray that prayer for Kennedy and his whole family.
And, dear reader, I pray the same for you if you are unsure of your eternity in Heaven.

Since we write about politics as it impacts our faith, church and apostasy, this post will continue about Obama’s church and preacher.
On the liberal program, The View, Barack Obama said this about his preacher, Jeremiah Wright:
“Had the reverend [Wright] not retired, and had he not acknowledged that what he had said had deeply offended people and were inappropriate and mischaracterized what I believe is the greatness of this country, for all its flaws, then I wouldn’t have felt comfortable staying at the church.”
To my knowledge, Wright has never publicly apologized nor acknowledged to America or Christians that his obnoxious, anti-Christian, racist, anti-American, anti-Semitic comments offended anyone.
If someone has a source for Wright’s supposed public apology, please give the source in the comments below.
Obama is using his lawyerly language to obfuscate and hide the truth of his real feelings about Wright. He loves the guy!.
Someone in the Mainstream Media must hold Obama to account for this misstatement (lie???) on the View.

My dear readers,
We’ve had a pretty rough but rewarding last three weeks. As you may have noticed blogging ground to an abrupt halt.
I have again experienced severe chest pains and two stays in the hospital where I acquired a balloon Angioplasty and a new Cardiac stent, (making a total now of three of these little jewels).
All is well as we recover.. and we wish to thank our friends for the emails, letters and calls.
We constantly pray for opportunities to share the Gospel of our Salvation by faith in Jesus Christ alone. The Lord answered our prayer in abundance with these multiple hospital stays.
We continue to pray to the Lord for more opportunities, but we would request another venue if possible. But, His will first, though.
Many heard, most listened, some politely declined but a few believed and so many were encouraged by the Gospel of God’s Grace.
After indicating she would trust Christ as her Savior, a nurse said, “Why isn’t anyone preaching this so clearly.” I thanked her for the opportunity to talk to her and said, “This is why the Lord put me in here.”
Those of us who believe in Christ should use every opportunity to share this Good News with everyone, the lost and the saved. Most folks will appreciate it.

Those great and well known “Christian” experts, former Presidents Jimmah Cahtah, Bill Clinton and many other Baptist leaders met in Atlanta for what was called “Celebration of a New Baptist Covenant.” Also attending were Obama, (Church of Christ) and Hillary, (United Methodist Church).[BOLD represents my emphasis and comments]
Included were …. Baptists from throughout North America and former members of the Southern Baptist Convention [who were] upset by its rightward shift. Carter was a lead organizer of the event.
“Thousands of participants prayed and held hands across a massive exhibit hall at the first session Wednesday night. Carter, a longtime Bible teacher at his Plains, Ga., church, called the three-day gathering “the most momentous event in my religious life.”
He [Carter] called animosity among Christians “a cancer metastasizing in the body of Christ.”
This is a great illustration of the lie of modern religious ecumenism which is forging the platform for the New World Order and the New World Religion of the last days.
The former president insisted the meeting was strictly religious, not political. [Even though] It is being held just days before Feb. 5, when 24 states will hold presidential primaries or caucuses.
Former Vice President Al Gore and former President Bill Clinton are among the major speakers. Earlier in the day, at a separate meeting of the black Baptist groups, Sens. Barack Obama and Hillary Rodham Clinton spoke about their presidential candidacies.
Critics have dismissed the event as little more than a Democratic rally.
We concur — except, instead of Democrat. they should say Extreme Liberal.. (Same thing).
However, they all heavily emphasize Scripture on social justice.
This is nothing more than spreading the “social gospel” — which is no gospel at all.

This ecumenical meeting of those who call themselves “Christians” never mention nor promote the main tenet of Christian Theology, The Gospel of Jesus Christ, the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus to pay the sin debt for every person in the world — and by putting our trust in Jesus, we have eternal life. These folks are preaching and organizing a world-wide anti-Biblical movement which dilutes the Gospel in favor of a false “do-good” religion of works/deeds. This organization of theological liberals is contrary to God’s Word!

It was December 15, 1964 when I was tricked into going to a Christmas Concert. I think my wife was complicit in the scheme to get me there. You see, I was very un-religious — in fact I was an avowed atheist.
As I sat there I enjoyed listening to the old-time Christmas hymns with which I was familiar. I heard them annually all 35 years of my life. About half way through the concert, a man began to speak about the reason for Christmas. I was furious with my friend (and my wife) who had tricked me. I did not need to be “preached to.” I very nearly bolted to the exit.
During the talk, the gentleman mentioned several Bible verses containing prophecies of the Old Testament attesting to the truth of the season.
I learned that “Christianity is not a first-century invention. It is, in fact, the fulfillment of that which, with one voice, the Hebrew prophets consistently foretold for centuries.
“There are more than 300 Messianic prophecies in the Old Testament. Why? So Israel could identify Him, when in the fullness of time God would send forth his Son (Galatians 4:4).” [Dave Hunt, The Berean Call]. These things I had never heard. One such verse that really struck me was a verse written 700 years before the birth of Christ the Messiah, directed to the Nation of Israel;
Micah 5:2
“But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall He come forth unto Me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.”
I could see this was a prophecy of the coming of Jesus the Messiah, God in the flesh. This was not just “a prophecy” but an affirmation that the Messiah is Eternal in nature, no beginning and no end.
An amazing and exciting thing I heard from Scripture that night was that prophecy of Micah. There were two Bethlehems in that area, Bethlehem in Zebulun and Bethlehem Ephratah. Just to be sure no one would be confused, Micah prophesied which of the two Bethlehems would be the birthplace of The Messiah (Ephratah of Judea).
Wise men from the East came to Jerusalem looking for the King whom they knew had been born. When King Herod heard that the King of the Jews had been born he felt threatened. Thus Herod queried the chief priests and scribes of the Jews about where this King could be found. Of course these Jewish leaders knew their Scriptures (Micah) and told Herod, “Bethlehem of Judea,” which was Ephratah.
That night I heard many ancient Old Testament Jewish prophecies of the death, burial and resurrection of the coming Messiah and Savior. The fact that these were fulfilled in the Person of Jesus Christ and recorded in the New Testament convinced me of the truth of Scripture and reality of the Person of Jesus Christ.
This good news,
“…the Gospel is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek [Gentile or non-Jew].” Romans 1:16
John 1:11-12
“He came unto His own [the Jews], and His own received Him not. But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His Name [Jesus, meaning 'Jehovah Saves']“
I am a Gentile — so I qualify.. That very night I believed what the Bible said — that Jesus the Messiah, the Savior was born, lived, and was crucified for me. Then He was buried and rose from the grave alive. I did not understand it all but I took the Lord at His word and from what I did know, I believed Jesus Christ did all that for me personally. So, that night at that Christmas Concert in 1964 I received the greatest Gift ever offered, salvation in Jesus Christ.
There were no weird feelings, no rolling on the floor, no going forward to the “altar,” etc, just a simple decision on my part — and by doing so, I was, by God’s promise, guaranteed to go to Heaven when I die and to be with Him for all eternity.
Friend, whether Jew or Gentile, if you are not absolutely sure of Heaven, please, right now, the best you know how — from what you see in Scripture, make the honest decision in your mind that you trust Jesus to be YOUR Savior. He WILL save you and give you eternal life this very moment. God loves you that much.
