Could Christians vote for a President “Of Color?” YES!

But Barack Hussein Obama? NO!

Why? Because Obama is a doctrinaire Liberal and his liberal church teaches contrary to Biblical principles. His “Mentor” and spiritual advisor, Pastor Jeremiah Wright’s church publication, The Trumpeter (PDF) last year gave the “Dr. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr. Trumpeter Award” to a man it said “truly epitomized greatness.” That man is Louis Farrakhan.

Farrakhan, in case you don’t know, is the leader and “prophet” of the Nation of Islam religion in the United States. This is not by any means a group friendly to Christians and Jews. In all fairness, Obama has said that he and his Pastor disagree on some issues — and this seems to be one of them. But where is the public outrage from Mr. Obama that his church publication would give such an award to Farrakhan? (Excerpts courtesy the Washington Post.)

Now for my liberal commenters who would call me racist — here is a list of Patriotic Americans who just happen to be “persons of color” whom I could wholeheartedly support, not because of their race, gender or religious affiliation but by their strong Constitutionally Conservative principles and credentials

  • Ward Connerly (Former University of California Regent)
  • Justice Clarence Thomas (Supreme Court)
  • Thomas Sowell (University Professor, Economics)
  • Dr. Walter Williams (Economist, University Professor)
  • Michelle Malkin (Conservative Author)
  • Dr. Alan Keyes (Teacher, Economist)
  • Michael S. Steele (former Lt. Gov. Maryland)
  • J. C. Watts (R. OK) Former Congressman
  • Lynn Swann, (Ran for Governor of Pennsylvania)
  • Ken Blackwell, (Ran for Governor of Ohio)

There are many more, but you get the picture, right?

Let us not consider a candidate whose church backs a radical Islamic minister who would destroy our Judeo-Christian heritage.

I’m personally excited from a conservative point of view about the new governor of the great state of Louisiana, Jindal. I haven’t researched his faith stand yet, but I certainly see him as a great hope for the future, and I would vote for him in a second. Christians see only one color–Blood red!

We sure do think a lot alike, bro. jack! I was thinking of good ol’ bro. JC Watts earlier. I’d love to see him as President. OK, carry on brother!

    Lynda,

Jindal sounds great from all I have heard. But I know very little about him — but those ole Cajuns must have been impressed with him!

    Maybe next time..

    Bro David,

Watts would be great too as would almost all of the folks I have mentioned. All seem to be solid Conservatives — which is why the MSM and the liberals don’t like them.

Couldn’t agree more about Watts! What a great contrast he would be to Obama. Black, a man of great faith, a great speaker, but also right on the issues! Sure wish he’d consider going back into public service again.

    Chris,

There are so many Patriots of color” but they are ignored by the Mainstream Media.

Only the Lefties are honored and promoted.

    In Christ,

It’s the dirty little secret of the mass media that any person of color who has conservative principles is cast as an “Uncle Tom” or a sell-out or traitor to their fellows, as though having a darker skin tone precludes having ideas about individual freedom, responsibility and potential. Anyone not lily-white is supposed to stay on the plantation and slavishly follow the views of their leftist masters, and be ‘cared for’ by them. That was the defense of the slaveowners, too! ‘These people are lesser, and cannot care for themselves or think for themselves… we take care of them, and they work (vote!) for us in return.” Despicable! In Christ, there is neither Jew nor Greek, male nor female, slave nor free!

    Lynda,

Sister you are right on target again!

Bro. Chris, I feel the same way!

    Bro. Jack,

As always you are a blessing!

    Lynda,

You do bring out a point that is a “dirty” little secret. People of color are supposed to be the vote slaves of liberals — and anyone with a Conservative mind of their own is to be castigated.

Woe unto Christians and Jews if the liberals take over any more than they have already.

Where are the real Conservative leaders of the past?

The crop of conservatives is indeed sparse this year.. Bad news for our blessed Republic.

As a libertarian atheist, I find the basis for deism to be laughably transparently false. Of course, I’ll be told that God loves me but I’ll burn in hell – yes, of course, that’s the basis for control. But does it bother you that Christianity (along with Islam and judaism) corrupts, abuses and terrorizes children? From Abraham nearly dispatching his son based on voices (we call that mental illness) to the obscene practices of male and female circumcision, priestly rape and paedophilia, modern religion is disgusting and deplorable.

Glad to be free of the tyranny of your belief system.
