Remember Pearl Harbor – 12/7/1941

I was 12 years old on December 7, 1941.. Like 9/11, this tragic date is burned into my mind.

I have posted on my personal web site some rarely seen graphic photos of the destruction, taken by soldiers and sailors on the scene at Pearl Harbor.

We need to remember — there were and still are people who would destroy our faith and our American way of life.

Please visit and see the devastation the MSM will rarely, if ever, publish.

    Bro. Jack,

    I am curious to know what your ideas are about the differences as well as the similarities between 12/7/41 & 9/11/01. This could be almost endless I know, so I would limit the discussion to just 2 areas:

    1) Differences/similarities concerning the scope of the enemy..

    2) Differences/similarities concerning the response of Americans at the respective times. Thanks for your thoughts in advance & God Bless.

    Wow, David… Quite an order!

    (1) scope of the enemy – Differences an Similarities:
    Japan – an imperialist nation led by an emperor and military leaders with world domination as a goal. Did not declare war — surprise attack on Pearl Harbor with no mercy.
    USA, was a non-aggressive Republic with no world domination agenda. USA was not militarily ready for a surprise attack. Some have said Roosevelt knew of the impending attack and said nothing but I have no absolutely credible evidence of that. Wouldn’t be surprised though.

    (2) Different responses
    12/7/41
    American people AND the media were all behind the President’s WWII response and the whole country worked together and sacrificed lives and material goods to save our Republic. Patriotism was palpable and continuous. Only the small contingent of Communists and Socialists objected.

    9/11/01
    As you know, the whole country rallied behind the President (even the media and Congress at the very first). Then the media and liberals saw the President’s response as a way to attack him in an effort to defeat his efforts (and him) fighting international Islamo-Fascism and put in a liberal Congress. It worked. The media has relentlessly put forth the worst possible slant on the news and convinced a large number of naive Americans that the war on Islamo-Fascism is wrong and un-winable.

    The difference between the response of Americans and the media to these two events are dramatic in scope.

    I am afraid unless America wakes up — it is too late.

    We need to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ and help break the naivety of our countrymen.

    Thank you bro. Jack, for the thoughtful response. I think I already knew the answers, but hearing it from someone credible who was there makes it more real in my own mind somehow.
    I can’t help but believe it all works into the end-times scenario. I don’t personally see the USA in prophecy, but that is my own opinion. You are correct, though, either way, we must share Christ & tell folks to “get in the Ark”! May the Lord bless you.

    I find no Biblical prophecy reference to America… except the prophecy that ALL nations will gather together against Israel.

    America has been just about the only nation who has stood with and supported Israel in the past, but lately I see more and more liberal anti-Israel folks being elected and promoted in the media and our government..

    So, much to my dismay, America may be one of those “ALL” nations.

    And can you imagine the horror of a President Barak HUSSEIN Obama???

    It breaks my heart also to realize that USA is definitely heading away from being a supporter of Israel which is deluded at best.

    My husband and I have often discussed the passage of Scripture that says all nations will be gathered against Israel, and for many years, it seemed difficult to understand how we would fit there, seeing we have been friends to Israel. Now, as has been pointed out here, more and more anti-Israel Americans are coming to the front. One thing is sure: God’s Word is true and will be fulfilled.

    Remember that “the young lions” protest the war against Israel, since the Lion is the symbol of England, the young lions maybe those countries that were colonized by England! But that is a guess. I’ve warned observant Jews that they may want to make aliyah, G*D has promised to rescue Israel, so they will be safer there than even here!

    I don’t know who you are, but your ‘Pearl Harbor, December 7, 1941′ would not come up on my computer. That being said, let me add my comments to the 12/7/41 scenario. I was 7 years old in 1941 & I wanted to join the U.S. Army. WHY? Because I thought (and believe me, the thoughts of a 7 year old are PURE & SIMPLE & CORRECT) that Japan wanted to destroy America. My comparison of the 12/7/41 and 9/11/01 are basic – in 1941, Japan wanted to take over territories, countries, etc. – The 2001 El Queda invasion wanted to (AND STILL DOES) take over EVERY COUNTRY & EVERY RELIGION in the world. I actually pray for them – really – these poor souls believe that they are giving their lives for ALLAH . How sad. Wait until they get to the Golden Gates of Heaven & find out that ALLAH does not live there. Any religion that beats up their people because they do not attend prayer services CANNOT be called a religion. Please, everyone – PRAY FOR THESE POOR SOULS, and may God Bless America. Ed L.

    Hello
    First: I am a Muslim and I want to say ((Do not take a wrong picture of Islam, you think that the (Al Queda) is all of Islam, but is not)), the religion of Islam urges peace deal and love between you and the people who did not assault you, I ask you to understand that.
    Secondly: Muslim prayer in the absence of having to hit it because prayer is the pillar of religion where there is no Islam without it.
    Thank you and I hope that you looked for books about Islam to know him more information.
